A 54-year-old Neapolitan man, already known to law enforcement, was caught red-handed while selling a dose. He was hiding another 54 grams of hashish, a scale, and packaging materials in his home.
Naples – The fight against drug trafficking in the eastern suburbs of Naples continues. Yesterday afternoon, another raid was carried out by the State Police in the Barra neighborhood, as part of the extraordinary operations deployed by the Police Headquarters to monitor the area. A 54-year-old Neapolitan man with a prior criminal record was arrested.
The operation took place in broad daylight, along the central Corso Sirena.
The scene didn't escape the watchful eyes of officers from the San Giovanni-Barra Police Station, who were on routine patrol. Their attention was caught by a suspicious movement near a soccer field, a popular gathering place for young people.
The 54-year-old was seen approaching another individual. A few moments later, a quick exchange ensued: money for "something." The police, realizing the illicit nature of the transaction, intervened without hesitation, stopping the drug dealing in its tracks.
The two men were immediately arrested.

But the operation wasn't over. Given the man's prior convictions and the crime being committed, the officers decided to extend the search to the 54-year-old's home, suspecting he might be hiding more.
The suspicions proved well-founded. A house search dismantled a small packaging plant. Inside the apartment, 18 sachets of hashish, ready for sale, were found, weighing a total of approximately 54 grams.
In addition to the drugs, the entire "dealer's kit" was seized: a precision scale for weighing the doses, various packaging materials, and a cutter with the blade still soaked and stained with hashish, a clear sign of a preparation activity in full swing.
Faced with overwhelming evidence, the 54-year-old was sent to prison. He was arrested on charges of illegal possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
