BENEVENTO – A large quantity of drugs, cash and tools for packaging the doses: this is what the Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of Benevento During a house search, a 32-year-old man was arrested. The operation was part of an investigative effort aimed at combating drug dealing in the Sannio capital.
During the raid, the soldiers found thirteen blocks of hashish, wrapped in heat-sealed cellophane, for a total weight of 1,174 kilograms, as well as 2,3 grams of cocaine stored in a small glass container.

The money, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing, was seized along with the drugs and the material used to package the doses. The man, already known to law enforcement, was arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute narcotics and taken to prison for judicial review. The operation confirms the constant vigilance of the Carabinieri in the fight against drug trafficking in the Benevento area, with increasingly targeted controls in urban areas and in places considered sensitive for drug trafficking.
