A drug dealing system organized like a home delivery service. This is what the Mobile Squad officers discovered. Benevento, who arrested three men—aged 31, 27, and 35—accused of possession and distribution of cocaine and crack. The operation was triggered by a precautionary custody order issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Benevento at the request of the Prosecutor's Office, after months of intensive investigations.
According to what emerged, the group had set up a "by appointment" sales network: orders were placed via messaging apps and delivered directly to customers' homes or other agreed-upon locations. This efficient yet dangerous system, active from February to July 2024, had transformed the Sannio province into a small retail drug dealing hub.
Investigators, through tailing, wiretaps, and testimonies from buyers, documented numerous drug deals, even recording them on video. In several cases, the three had already been caught red-handed and found in possession of cocaine and crack cocaine ready for sale.
The thirty-one-year-old, previously convicted of similar crimes, led the organization, and investigators considered him the point of contact for the other two. But even the precautionary measures hadn't stopped the activity: the man continued to run the drug business even from house arrest, while the twenty-seven-year-old continued making deliveries despite being required to report to the judicial police.
An operation as unscrupulous as it was widespread, which has come to an end with the arrests made in recent hours. For the police, the operation represents a significant blow to a network that had transformed drug trafficking into a well-organized and constantly evolving neighborhood business.
