Capri – It was a busy afternoon yesterday among the elegant shop windows of Via Camerelle, the heart of Capri's luxury shopping district. Three men of Russian origin, aged 47, 56, and 39, were arrested by Capri Police Station officers on charges of aggravated theft.
The alarm was raised after a report reached the police station regarding a theft at a boutique. Officers quickly arrived on the scene, collected descriptions provided by store staff and reviewed video surveillance footage, which allowed them to reconstruct the entire sequence of events.
According to the findings, the three men allegedly stole three bags from a well-known international brand, hiding them under their clothes before quickly leaving the shop.

A thorough search operation was launched immediately in the main areas of the island. Two of the alleged perpetrators were located and arrested in the port area, while the third was apprehended shortly before boarding the ship, attempting to leave Capri.
Thanks to the swift intervention and coordination between the officers involved, all of the stolen goods were recovered, while the three men were arrested in flagrante delicto.
The State Police investigation is continuing to verify any connections with other similar incidents that have occurred in recent days on the island and along the coast.
