Carabinieri patrols and officers from the Sessa Aurunca Police Station, along with firefighters, immediately arrived on the scene, working for hours to put out the blaze. The flames had already consumed much of the building, rendering it completely uninhabitable.

According to initial reports, the 37-year-old apparently acted after yet another argument with his wife, which erupted over trivial matters. The woman, in a state of deep shock, told officers she had been living in a climate of tension and violence for years. Recently, according to her account, her husband had become increasingly aggressive, even in front of their minor children.

The man, already known to law enforcement, was arrested and taken to the police station. After the usual formalities, he was transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison by order of the Prosecutor's Office. The investigation, coordinated by San Marino magistrates, is continuing to reconstruct the precise sequence of events and verify any previous reports. The home, severely damaged by the flames, has been declared uninhabitable.
