Caserta - The brutal kidnapping for the purpose of robbery that took place in Macerata, Campania, on November 28, 2023, has come full circle.
This morning, at dawn, the Carabinieri of the Operational Section of the Santa Maria Capua Vetere Company executed a precautionary detention order, issued by the preliminary investigations judge of the Sammarinese Court at the request of the Prosecutor's Office.
Two Albanian nationals were arrested in the municipalities of Caserta and Parete, held responsible, to varying degrees, for the crimes of aggravated robbery and kidnapping.
The precautionary measure is the culmination of a complex and detailed investigative activity, coordinated by the local prosecutor's office and conducted by the aforementioned Carabinieri department.

Violence at home
The facts relate to a particularly brutal robbery committed inside the home of an Italian couple. The criminals acted with unprecedented violence and cold-bloodedness: the victims were restrained, gagged, and threatened with a gun, in a clear display of brutality aimed at ensuring the success of the robbery.
The goal was to steal cash and gold jewelry. The final haul, according to estimates, amounted to approximately €64.000,00.
The preliminary investigations judge, fully accepting the prosecution's case, ordered the most restrictive measure—precautionary detention—for both suspects, finding not only serious evidence of guilt but also the necessary precautionary measures.
