Alvignano – The trial of two young women from the upper Caserta area, Valentina Torino, 29, from Alvignano, and Ilaria Siciliano, 31, from Alife, is proceeding at a rapid pace before Judge Dr. Luigi Ferraiuolo.
The hall of Santa Maria Capua Vetere is the scene of a tragic evening reenacted, with friendships shattered, contemporary paintings defaced with pen strokes, and a house turned upside down.
The defendants were brought to trial by a motion for indictment signed by the Public Prosecutor, Dr. Anna Ida Capone. The prosecution charged both young women with conspiracy to commit trespass and deface and deface another's property, with the aggravating circumstance of having damaged property owned by the designated victim: Giuseppe Ponticorvo, a young dairy entrepreneur well-known in the Alvignano area.
According to the indictment constructed by the Prosecutor's Office, Torino and Siciliano broke into the Ponticorvo home. Once inside, armed not with sophisticated tools but with a simple ballpoint pen, they targeted two valuable works of art: a canvas by Pier Toffoletti and one by Domenico Di Genni, partially destroying them with indelible marks.
But the devastation, according to the prosecution, did not stop at the paintings.

After removing wines and sparkling wines from the cellar, they allegedly didn't drink them, but used them as weapons: the precious liquids ended up on Ponticorvo's clothing, then poured onto the storage room walls and furniture. Ceramic vases and faces also suffered, shattering them.
The facts, as revealed in court, date back a few years. It was the entrepreneur himself, assisted by lawyers Raffaele Gaetano and Gaetano Crisileo, who filed a complaint with the Alvignano Carabinieri station, describing the raid he had suffered and identifying his two (then) friends as the perpetrators. This incident triggered an investigation by the military, delegated by the Judicial Authority, which led to the initiation of the ongoing criminal proceedings.
Giuseppe Ponticorvo has already filed a civil action in the Assize Court, along with his lawyers who have been assisting him since the investigation, and he testified, recounting his version of events. After his testimony, the court also heard evidence from his father, entrepreneur Michele Ponticorvo, whose evidence remains under review.
Meanwhile, the two defendants, represented respectively by attorneys Giuseppe Rochira (for Torino) and Dario Mancino (for Siciliano), continue to resist the prosecution, providing their reconstruction of the facts. The next hearing could shed light on the motivations behind an act that transformed a friendly relationship into a legal dispute.
