Castellammare – They have no criminal record, don't frequent criminal circles, and often lead seemingly normal lives. Yet, behind the facade of unsuspecting citizens lies a subterranean world that grows every week: that of drug dealers with no criminal record.
The phenomenon, which in just a few weeks has affected Grumo Nevano, Chiaiano, Bacoli, and Torre del Greco, is now reaching the Stabia area. The latest case, reported in the past few hours, involves an 18-year-old man who just turned 18, arrested by Carabinieri from the Castellammare di Stabia branch during a drug bust a stone's throw from the Marina di Stabia dock, near the BMVI parish of Lourdes and San Agostino.
The raid: from street checks to home discovery
The young man, with no criminal record and just coming of age, was stopped for a check. They found several doses of crack cocaine on him, which he attempted to explain away as personal use. However, the officers decided to extend the search to his home.
In front of the building, a group of kids were waiting curiously: about ten friends, who disappeared as soon as the doors of the Gazelle opened.

29 doses of crack, three cell phones, and 740 euros in cash at home
During the house search, the Carabinieri found 29 pre-packaged doses of crack cocaine and €740 in cash, likely the proceeds of drug dealing. The young man attempted an unlikely justification: "I found them on the street." But in his room, in addition to the drugs, three smartphones were seized, which will now be analyzed to reconstruct his network of contacts and potential customers.
The 18-year-old was arrested for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing and transferred to prison pending validation.
