Sam Beukema returns home with the determination of someone who wants to leave his mark. On the eve of the challenge of Champions League between PSV and Napoli, the Dutch defender spoke to Sky Sport microphones, showing confidence and awareness. "It's clear we wanted a better result in Turin, but we've had a few injuries and the new players are adapting. I'm feeling great, and every day I understand better what the coach wants and what the team needs. It takes time for everyone, but we have a very strong group and we want to prove it tomorrow."
The former Bologna player, returning to an environment he knows well, doesn't hide the excitement of playing in the Netherlands again, but he does so with the competitive spirit of someone accustomed to looking ahead.

Beukema: "It's great to be back in the Netherlands, we want to do well."
For Beukema, the match in Eindhoven will also have a special flavour, shared with the other Dutch player in the squad, Noa Lang. "It's always great to return to the Netherlands, for me and Noa. The football culture here is different, but the Napoli fans are unique. As a child, I dreamed of playing for such passionate people. Lang is very excited; returning to where he played last year motivates him immensely."
The defender then spoke about his personal growth, convinced that his new experience with the Azzurri is also strengthening his professional maturity. "Compared to last year, with Bologna, I've improved a lot. I'm always trying to improve, and if I continue on this path, I think a call-up to the national team will come. But now I'm only thinking about the match against PSV: we want to do well and continue to grow together."
