Peter Bosz is not afraid of Maradona. PSV Eindhoven's coach, on the eve of the Champions League match against Napoli, he spoke with the confidence of someone who believes in his project and in the strength of his group. "Tomorrow we'll face a very strong team, but as has often happened this year, we hope to be able to score against them too. I'd be satisfied even with a 3-2 victory.", declared the Dutch coach in the pre-match press conference.
Bosz recognizes the quality of the Azzurri but does not start out defeated: “Il Napoli They have some very important players. It would be fantastic if Lobotka didn't play, but everyone is top-notch. However, we also have great players; it will be a difficult but open challenge." The PSV coach also dwelt on some of the European football stars he knows well, from De Bruyne to Neres, to Beukema and Lang, showing great respect for his former players.
“De Bruyne is one of the greatest who ever lived, I've known him since his time at Wolfsburg.

No lessons for Antonio Conte, only admiration. "I don't have to give advice to a coach like that. He's capable of changing systems, switching from 3-5-2 to 4-3-3 while maintaining intensity, energy, and organization. His teams always play with passion." Bosz then reflected on the cultural differences between Dutch and Italian football. "We focus on young players, while in Italy we focus on more experienced players. But we've shown we can beat Italian teams, like against Juventus. Our job is to develop talents and then sell them, like Lang and Bakayoko."
Finally, a tribute to the charm of Italian football: "I have great admiration for the passion here. It's a vibrant, emotionally charged game. We did well in the league on Saturday, but we'll have to do the same against Napoli." PSV will arrive at the Maradona with confidence, an attacking spirit, and the knowledge that they have everything to gain. Bosz isn't afraid of the odds: his PSV wants to surprise again.
