NAPLES – The judicial turning point is approaching for the tragic death of Chiara Jaconis, the thirty-year-old tourist from Padua who was hit on the head by a statuette that fell from a balcony in the Spanish Quarter. The Public Prosecutor's Office Napoli has closed its investigation and is preparing to request that the parents of the thirteen-year-old held responsible for the act be sent to trial.
The two, both respected professionals, are charged with manslaughter and failure to supervise. According to the prosecution, they should have monitored their son's behavior, as he had previously demonstrated a habit of throwing objects out of windows.
