Naples - There were moments of great concern yesterday morning at a private nursery school in the Pianura neighborhood of Naples, where the Carabinieri responded to a report that sparked a wave of outrage.
Law enforcement officers from the Naples Pianura Station, assisted by the Mobile Radio Unit, arrived at the school to investigate an alleged serious incident of abuse. The mother of a child requested the intervention after learning a disturbing detail: the previous day, during lunchtime, her little girl had allegedly been restrained to her chair by a teacher, using a scarf to restrain her.
Fortunately, the little girl did not suffer any physical injuries, but the emotional shock of such a serious act remains a question mark.

Immediate dismissal and waiver of reporting
The school principal was also present on the scene, and acted with extreme swiftness and determination. She informed the Carabinieri that she had already terminated the responsible employee, specifying that she had only been employed for four days.
This immediate intervention and the decisive action of the school management appear to have had a reassuring effect on the little girl's mother. Despite the seriousness of the incident, the woman decided not to file a complaint against the teacher. The Carabinieri's investigations and inquiries were nevertheless concluded on-site, gathering the information needed to reconstruct the events.

Reading the article, it seems to me that the situation is very serious and worrying. It's important that the authorities take these incidents seriously. However, I wonder if the mother was right not to file a complaint, given what happened.
