Cicciano - Another name, another life hanging by a thread, in the nightmare of workplace accidents that continues to claim victims in the Naples area. Yesterday afternoon, a 66-year-old worker fell from a three-meter-high wall inside a construction site on Via Benevento, in Cicciano.
Rushed to Nola Hospital in critical condition, the man was then transferred to Ospedale del Mare, where doctors declared his prognosis guarded and his life in danger.
The alarm was raised in the early afternoon. Carabinieri officers from the Mobile Radio Unit and the Nola Station immediately responded to the scene, called to witness yet another tragedy unfolding at a construction site in the province.
According to an initial reconstruction, the man – whose identity has not been released – was working when, for reasons that are still unclear, he lost his balance and fell from a height of approximately three meters.

The worker's condition, from the very first moment, appeared extremely critical. After receiving first aid and being admitted to the Nola hospital, the decision was made to transfer him to the specialized center at the Ospedale del Mare in Naples, confirming the severity of his injuries.
The Carabinieri have launched all necessary investigations to precisely reconstruct the dynamics of the accident, acquiring all necessary information to understand the causes of the fall and any potential liability.
This tragedy is part of a terrible list of workplace accidents that have bloodied Naples and its province in recent months, rekindling the spotlight on the safety emergency on construction sites and factories, where the lives of workers, especially older ones, are too often put at risk.
