Thirty boxes of chocolate stuffed into a backpack and an escape that lasted just enough time to get past the anti-theft barriers. Thus ended the "sweet" adventure of two young women of Roma origin, both twenty-five years old, reported by the police. Carabinieri a Cimitile for theft. The two were stopped by the owners of a downtown supermarket, who had noticed the suspicious activity among the shelves and, without hesitation, dialed 112.
When the police arrived, the thieves had already passed the cash registers, but the loot was still with them: carefully hidden in their backpack were 30 pieces of chocolate worth a total of 112 euros, an amount which ironically coincides with the number called to report them.
