The investigation into corruption in the Province of Caserta, which in November 2024 caused the resignation of the then president Giorgio Magliocca, marks a new judicial chapter. The investigating judge of the court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere accepted the request eight suspects dismissed, including managers, employees and entrepreneurs who ended up at the centre of the investigation.
The Prosecutor's Office, led by Pier Paolo Bruni and with the substitutes Gerardina Cozzolino e James Urban, however, chose not to archive Magliocca's position.
