A €48 million investment to ensure safe water and resilient infrastructure between Capri and Nola. With Ministerial Decree No. 223 of September 16, 2025, published in the Official Journal on October 22, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport approved the funding provided for in the "2025 Implementation Part" of the National Plan for Infrastructure and Safety Interventions in the Water Sector (PNIISSI).
The resources are allocated to the Sarnese-Vesuvian Water District, thanks to the planning and programming efforts of the Campania Water Authority (EIC), which coordinated the preparation of the technical documents required to obtain the funds.

“This funding represents a fundamental step towards a more modern, efficient and sustainable management of water resources”, commented Luca Mascolo, president of the EIC. "It means safety for citizens, more resilient infrastructure, and less waste, all without impacting fares. It's the result of serious planning shared with the local communities."
Raffaele Coppola, president of the Sarnese-Vesuvian District, was also satisfied, and underlined the importance of institutional synergy: "We've already reduced losses on the city's network by 50%, and now we can invest in strategic projects. These funds are forward-looking, focusing on sustainability and innovation."
