Napoli midfielder Kevin De Bruyne underwent surgery today in Antwerp for a high-grade tear to his right thigh muscle, sustained during last Saturday's league match against Inter. The operation, performed by surgeon Geert Declercq and assisted by Raffaele Canonico, head of the Napoli medical staff, was a complete success, as confirmed by Calcio Napoli.
According to Belgian physiotherapist Lieven Maesschalck, post-operative rehabilitation could last three to five months, depending on the player's progress.

The Belgian midfielder will therefore begin the first phase of his rehabilitation in Belgium, under strict medical supervision, with the goal of returning to the pitch in the best possible condition. The operation and post-operative management represent a crucial step for Napoli, which will be able to count on the recovery of one of its key players in the coming months, aiming to limit the impact of his absence on the rest of the season.

This is a situation that worries me greatly. Let's hope De Bruyne recovers quickly and can return to playing. His rehabilitation will take time, but it's important that he receives good medical attention from doctors and physiotherapists.
