Another drug discovery was made inside the Aversa prison. Penitentiary police officers on duty at the facility today located a package containing 350 grams of hashish, likely thrown from outside and ending up on the roof of a prison unit.
This is the latest incident in just a few days. Just last Wednesday, another shipment of narcotics was intercepted, a sign that the Norman prison has long been a target of those attempting to smuggle drugs and prohibited items behind bars.
The news was announced by OSAPP Campania, through regional secretary Vincenzo Palmieri, who expressed satisfaction with the staff's effective intervention.

The union also announced that it will ask the new regional superintendent of Campania, expected to visit Aversa on Monday, October 27, to intervene to reinstate the missing staff. "The staff shortage," Palmieri added, "risks compromising safety standards and staff rights, already severely challenged by retirements and transfers."
