Eindhoven - Approximately 180 Napoli fans were arrested last night in the Dutch city of Eindhoven. Local police said there were no actual disturbances or fights: according to a spokesperson, the authorities intended to prevent such disturbances with the arrests.
This was reported by the local news agency Anp, adding that there were no reports of clashes with PSV fans.

The fans were then arrested for violating the municipal regulations regarding gatherings and were taken by bus to the Mathildelaan police station, where they will be questioned. Some of the people detained apparently did not have tickets for tonight's Champions League match between PSV and Napoli.
Eindhoven Mayor Jeroen Dijsselbloem had previously established a high-risk security zone for the match. This allowed police to conduct preventive searches in the city center and other areas of the city.
