Naples - The official filing of the lists for the Campania regional elections, scheduled for November 23 and 24, has been completed at the Naples Courthouse.
In total, twenty lists have been presented, supporting six candidates for the presidency of the Region.
The two main challengers, Roberto Fico for the center-left and Edmondo Cirielli for the center-right, will each be able to count on eight lists.
Fico's supporters include the Democratic Party, the Five Star Movement, the Alliance of the Greens and the Left, the civic group "Fico President," "A Testa Alta" (linked to the outgoing president Vincenzo De Luca), "Noi di Centro – Noi Sud" (close to the mayor of Benevento Clemente Mastella), "Avanti Campania" (which brings together socialists and republicans), and "Casa Riformista."
On the opposing side, supporting Cirielli, are Fratelli d'Italia, Forza Italia, Lega, the civic group "Cirielli Presidente", Noi Moderati, UDC, Christian Democracy with Rotondi and Pensionati – Consumatori.
The four lists of independent candidates complete the picture:
“For – For people and the community”, supported by Nicola Campanile;
“Campania Popolare”, with Giuliano Granato;
“Forza del Popolo”, in support of Carlo Arnese;
the personal list of candidate Stefano Bandecchi.
