The Cumana line is back on the road. Starting tomorrow, train service will be extended to Gerolomini station, restoring a long-awaited connection for commuters and residents of the Campi Flegrei area . Currently, the line was only active on the Torregaveta–Arco Felice stretch, but with the new extension, it will once again cover a significant portion of the route to Naples.
The operating schedule includes trains every 45 minutes, from approximately 5:38 AM to 22:00 PM, with a total travel time of 17 minutes. At the same time, replacement services will be rescheduled, with the return of the two circular routes: Bagnoli–Gerolomini–Pozzuoli–Gerolomini–Bagnoli and Arco Felice–Pozzuoli–Arco Felice, to ensure continuity of connections with the Phlegraean Fields.
Also addressing the proposals of the mayors of Monte di Procida and Bacoli, a direct bus connection will be introduced in the morning between Torregaveta and Piazzale Tecchio, with stops near the Fusaro, Lucrino, Arco Felice, and Agnano stations. The goal is to ensure a more efficient and integrated service while awaiting completion of the new Gerolomini station.
