Today, Gianfranco Gallo returns to the stage with his nephew Gianluca Di Gennaro, the ideal heir to his brother with whom he formed the original duo, and his daughter Bianca, who was already present at the first edition. This return highlights the continuity of an artistic family.
Inspired by an ancient farce by Pasquale Petito ('A scarrecavarrile), the show revolves around betrayal, forgiveness, and overwhelming misunderstandings, paying homage to the Neapolitan comic tradition from Antonio Petito to Scarpetta. Gallo's rewrite retains the farce's core theme, enriching it with modernity and freshness, offering audiences an elegant, irresistible, and surprisingly contemporary comedy.
