Giugliano - Another case of domestic violence has been added to the already long list in Campania. Yesterday early afternoon, State Police arrested a 54-year-old man from Giugliano for domestic violence and assault against his partner.
The incident comes just hours after the case of a young pregnant woman beaten by her partner in Caserta, painting an alarming picture of gender-based violence in the region.
The intervention of the agents
The dramatic scene unfolded after a call to the Giugliano-Villaricca Police Station Operations Room. Officers, who responded immediately to a domestic dispute, found a woman waiting for them, clearly agitated and with a swollen face.
The victim told police that she had just been attacked and threatened by her partner "for trivial reasons," in a terrible pattern of violence that had been repeated for some time.
