Montella - A morning of terror yesterday in a wooded area in the municipality of Montella, in the province of Avellino, where a serious accident involved a forestry worker. The man, engaged in pruning, was crushed by a large branch that fell on him, causing various degrees of trauma to various parts of his body.
The alarm was immediately raised to 118, triggering a complex rescue operation due to the particularly harsh environment in which the accident occurred.

After providing first aid on the scene, the worker was immobilized to prevent further complications. To extract him from the wooded area, inaccessible to ordinary vehicles, a winch was used to lift the man and transport him to a suitable evacuation point.
Given the severity of the injuries and the need for rapid transport to a well-equipped medical facility, the worker was taken to the hospital aboard a 118 air ambulance. No further details about his condition are currently known, but the injuries he sustained required emergency hospitalization.
The rescue operations, which demonstrated perfect synergy between the forces, also involved the Carabinieri, the Guardia di Finanza Alpine Rescue, and the Montella Fire Brigade, in addition to the Alpine Rescue.
