Halloween masks, costumes, and lanterns, as well as toys and decorations that are potentially dangerous to your health: this is what the Carabinieri of the NAS of Salerno found during a checkpoint operation carried out on the eve of the witches' night. In three commercial establishments between Salerno and the Irno Valley, the military seized over a thousand items that lacked the safety requirements set by national and European regulations.
The inspections revealed a complete lack of labels, instructions, and mandatory certifications, elements that guarantee the traceability and safety of products intended for even the youngest consumers.

The shop owners were reported to the administrative authorities and fined a total of approximately six thousand euros. If released on the market, the products could have generated a profit of approximately three thousand euros, but they would have posed a significant health risk. The operation is part of a broader NAS (National Health and Safety Authority) inspection campaign ahead of the Christmas holidays. Halloween, aimed at ensuring that the scariest party of the year remains a safe time of fun, especially for the little ones.

I agree with Ederosa: the health of the little ones must come first. It's incredible how some stores can sell items without labels, which creates confusion and risks.
The Carabinieri operation is very important because children's safety is paramount. It's right that checks be carried out on potentially dangerous Halloween items. I hope similar actions continue.
