San Felice a Cancello (Caserta) – A hidden pipe that discharged waste from a condensation system directly into the ground. This is what the Carabinieri of the Cancello station discovered during an environmental inspection inside a factory in the Caserta municipality. The inspection, which took place on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 14, led to the seizure of the entire facility and the filing of a complaint against the owner, a 74-year-old man already known to law enforcement.
The operation was born from a joint inspection between the military of the Arma, the personnel of the Arpac of Caserta and the technicians of the ASL – Maddaloni District.

It's important that authorities take action against polluters, but I wonder if there are enough controls to prevent such situations. Plants should be constantly monitored to avoid serious and damaging environmental problems.
