Castellammare di Stabia – Juve Stabia continues to surge ahead and takes the derby against Avellino, winning 2-0 at the "Romeo Menti" stadium. It was a deserved victory, built on play, unity, and character, against an opponent who had been unbeaten for six consecutive games and found the solidity of Stabia to be an insurmountable wall.
Ignazio Abate's team continued their excellent form by securing their second consecutive home win, demonstrating they still have plenty of room for improvement. Juve Stabia won as a team, with the unity that has become the former AC Milan Primavera coach's trademark.
The match: Mosti and Bellich score the win
The Gialloblù broke the deadlock in the 39th minute: following a Maistro corner, the Irpinia defense cleared it short and Mosti coordinated perfectly, unleashing a powerful left-footed shot from the edge of the box that left Iannarilli with no chance.
Just three minutes later, Juve Stabia doubled their lead, once again from a dead-ball situation: Bellich, under pressure, was the quickest to tap the ball into the net after the Biancoverde goalkeeper had made a fumble.
In the second half, Biancolino tried to change Avellino's face with a more attacking formation, but it was the home team that came close to making it three again: Varnier rose to head a corner, but Crespi cleared the ball off the line to prevent the 3-0.

Abate: "A mature team, but only at 70% of our potential."
Mr. Abate was satisfied at the end of the match and praised the group but was not satisfied:
"We approached the game with the right attitude," he explained in the mixed zone. "We were a bit tense at the start, but we gave very little away and managed to break the deadlock on a dead-ball situation. We started the second half well, then defended with great order in the final twenty minutes. These are three crucial points, which give us confidence and consistency."
The coach recognizes the value of the opponent, but underlines the compactness of his team:
"Avellino is an experienced team, capable of staying in the game. But my boys fought tooth and nail, never losing their balance. We didn't struggle centrally and always remained in control."
A growing team and a dreaming club
Juve Stabia seems to be only at 70-75% of their potential, as Abate himself admits. Their defensive solidity, tactical organization, and variety of attacking options make them one of the most interesting teams in the group.
"Those who played less responded brilliantly," Abate added. "Everyone gave their all, and that's the spirit I want. We're happy to have given our fans something to cheer about in such a heartfelt match. Now, let's keep our heads down and keep working."
Analysis
Juve Stabia, beyond the result, has earned the trust of a crowd that's dreaming again. Abate has crafted a team that defends compactly, attacks as a unit, and maintains tactical clarity. If, as the coach says, this team is truly only at 70% of its potential, then the championship still has some big surprises in store for the Gialloblu fans.
