La Palace of Caserta is preparing to transform itself, once again, into a ballroom from another era. On Sunday, November 9th, at 11:30 a.m., its majestic spaces will host the "Grand Ball of the Queens," an elegant and evocative reenactment of 19th-century court dances. The initiative, promoted by the APS Società di Danza Napoli Cultural Association and Caserta Directed by Maestro Lucio Martino, it will bring the audience back to life the pomp and grace of the Bourbon court, bringing to life the atmosphere of the great European society celebrations.
Dancers in period costumes will perform romantic waltzes, lively polkas, mazurkas, and quadrilles, following the styles and choreography of 19th-century dance masters.

The Grand Queens' Ball looks very interesting, but I don't know if it's a good idea to revive period dances. Sometimes, reenactments can seem a bit forced and don't always capture the authenticity of the past.
