The incident, reconstructed by the Carabinieri of the local station thanks to video surveillance footage, is chilling. The cameras captured the 45-year-old woman approaching her ex-mother-in-law's home, taking a can of gasoline from her bag, and dousing the front door with the flammable liquid.
The next step, that of striking a match, was stopped by the man's hasty arrival, who took the woman by surprise and forced her to flee.
