Naples – A furious family argument escalated into a violent crime last night in the Ponticelli neighborhood of Naples. At the height of an argument, sparked by what investigators call "trivial" matters, a 52-year-old woman set fire to the bar run by her brother, endangering public safety.
The incident occurred on Via Argine, at the intersection with Via Don Giovanni Minzoni. The alarm was raised when residents noticed flames erupting from inside the business.
The intervention and the arrest
Officers from the State Police Flying Squad immediately arrived on the scene.

The key to the investigation were images from the area's video surveillance systems. By analyzing the footage, officers were able to reconstruct the events and identify the perpetrator. The woman, a 52-year-old resident in the area, was located and arrested shortly thereafter in her home.
The identity of the arrested woman, whose details have not been released, has been confirmed: she apparently acted out of revenge or anger immediately after the argument with her relative, setting fire to the premises.
The 52-year-old was subsequently arrested on suspicion of arson. She is currently awaiting judicial decisions, while an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the argument that led to such a reckless act. The fire caused extensive damage to the bar and could have had far more serious consequences, given the presence of residential properties in the immediate vicinity.

It's a truly sad thing to happen these days, but I don't understand how someone could do something like this. Investigators should do more to prevent these incidents.
