The fire a few days ago in Gianturco raised more than one alarm. A warehouse in flames, an entire building evacuated, twenty families forced to leave their homes: too many to pretend it was an isolated incident. And so the mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, wrote to the prefect Michele di Bari to request the immediate establishment of a table on environmental risks in the area.
The request comes after growing concern from residents, who for months have been reporting the presence of numerous industrial warehouses packed with flammable material.
