ROME. The National Federation of Biologists' Associations (FNOB) denounces new penalties for managers of "non-medical" healthcare categories in the 2026 Budget. "Once again, biologists, pharmacists, chemists, physicists, and psychologists are being sidelined by doctors, despite holding similar roles and responsibilities.", denounces the president of Fnob in a note, Vincenzo D'Anna.
According to the representative of the biology Italians, the provision "creates an unjustified disparity" in the increases in the specificity allowance: "For doctors, an increase is expected that is more than six times higher than that of health managers, and more than three times higher than that of nurses."

"The law does not adequately recognize the nine years of training, the managerial role and the skills required for biologists – D'Anna blurts out –. This is discrimination we cannot accept." The Fnob also challenges the exclusion of healthcare managers from additional benefits, which instead remain available to doctors and healthcare technical personnel.
"Within the same teams, with equal responsibilities, some can perform extra activities while managers cannot. This is a contradiction, given that the manager is ultimately responsible for the performance provided.", the president underlines. "These are serious errors. - he concludes - which we hope will be corrected during the parliamentary examination of the budget".
