Naples – The school lunch crisis in Naples has exploded again, and this time the epicenter of the protests is the Cavalleggeri neighborhood. Following the recent scandals involving cafeterias in Fuorigrotta and Ponticelli, a new, serious health and hygiene concern has hit the "I Rondinotti" preschool in the 10th district.

The students' mothers raised the case with anger and deep concern. Tired of fearing for their children's health, they sent a detailed complaint, accompanied by photographs, to the Green and Left Alliance MP, Francesco Emilio Borrelli.

The images reportedly raise "serious doubts about the quality and safety" of the meals served to the children.

"Do we really have to risk our children getting food poisoning, despite the recalls already issued?" This is the dramatic question the mothers of "I Rondinotti" posed to the MP, fearing that the situation could escalate at any moment.

The fear is real, fueled by a string of precedents that have already put the city on high alert. Borrelli's intervention had already been decisive in the Fuorigrotta and Ponticelli cases, where reports had prompted the intervention of the Local Health Authority. In those cases, inspections uncovered a disturbing picture: rotten vegetables, sprouted tomatoes, uncleaned green beans, and even pieces of obviously raw meat destined for the students' plates.

Borrelli: "Wide-scale inspections, health is not optional."

The Cavalleggeri incident forcefully refocuses the spotlight on an essential service that appears to be showing systemic flaws. "It doesn't matter if the supplier for Cavalleggeri is different from previous ones," thundered Francesco Emilio Borrelli. "The responsibility is the same: protecting children's health is a must, not an option."

The MP calls the frequency of these complaints "unacceptable" and announces immediate action. "I have already requested urgent intervention from the Local Health Authority and the Regional School Office," Borrelli confirmed.

The request is to immediately initiate "widespread inspections and checks." The focus is not only on the "I Rondinotti" school, but also on the supplier's entire supply chain, including "all batches and kitchens." The goal is clear: "Those responsible for this outrage, which risks causing poisoning among children, must be identified and punished with the utmost severity."
