A weekend of extraordinary patrols in Mergellina , the beating heart of Neapolitan nightlife. The State Police intensified their presence in the chalet area and in Largo Sermoneta, as part of the prevention and security measures implemented by the Naples Police Headquarters to ensure law and order in the city's busiest areas.
Officers from the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue identified a total of 223 people, 57 of whom were already known to law enforcement, and checked 57 vehicles. Three of these vehicles were seized for irregularities, while five traffic violations were reported, and two driving licenses were revoked.
During the operations, three drivers were reported for driving without a license, a repeated offense over the past two years that led to the matter being reported to the judicial authorities. The checks are part of a broader surveillance plan implemented by the State Police to curb illegal activity related to nightlife and ensure greater safety for citizens.
