Naples – Two taser discharges, the second more powerful than the first. This is what emerged from the autopsy performed at the Second Polyclinic of Napoli The body of Anthony Ihaza Ehogonoh, the 35-year-old man who died on October 6th after a Carabinieri intervention on Via Galileo Ferraris, was found. The man, clearly intoxicated, had been first shocked with pepper spray and then with a double electric shock, as the first, like the spray, had no effect.
On Anthony's body, the marks of four darts were found, two for each shot: according to the reconstruction, they were used by a single soldier.

The full autopsy report, which will also include toxicology results, will be delivered within 60 days. Meanwhile, the Prosecutor's Office NapoliAs a matter of course, the Italian police has placed five Carabinieri officers under investigation for negligent misuse of weapons. The case is being handled by Public Prosecutor Barbara Aprea, coordinated by Deputy Prosecutor Raffaello Falcone.
Anthony's family, shocked by the tragedy, has received permission for the funeral, which will be held today or tomorrow. It remains unclear whether the death was directly caused by the electrical discharge or whether any substances the 35-year-old had taken in the preceding hours had a role.

It's strange how these things happened; it seems the police used excessive force. I don't know if it was necessary to use the Taser twice. Let's hope this death is clarified.
