A swift operation brought back to Spain a luxury car stolen just two days earlier from Barcelona Airport. The vehicle, a Renault Arkana worth approximately €40, was located in the Pianura neighborhood , on the western outskirts of Naples , by the Metropolitan Police's Environmental Road Investigation Unit (NISA).
The operation marks the field debut of the new unit, which has scored a major breakthrough in the fight against international stolen vehicle trafficking. Thanks to a targeted investigation and careful monitoring, the officers were able to intercept the car before it could fall into the hands of organized crime, presumably involved in the illicit trafficking network.
The recovery is part of a broader plan to monitor the area and combat theft and predatory trafficking. Further investigations are underway to reconstruct the vehicle's route from Spain to Italy and identify those responsible for the theft and the criminal network behind the operation.
