Naples – He was stopped after a chase through the alleys of Ponti Rossi, just minutes after an apartment robbery. A 26-year-old Algerian national was arrested by the State Police on charges of improper robbery and also charged for a previous burglary committed in the same residence.
It happened yesterday afternoon on Via Gradini Ponti Rossi. Officers from the Office of General Prevention and Public Aid responded to a report from the Operations Room regarding a robbery in progress. When the patrol car arrived on the scene, the officers noticed a man running after a young man, identifying him as the perpetrator of the recent robbery.
The officers gave chase and, after a few meters, managed to stop the fugitive.

Subsequent investigations revealed that the same man had already entered the same apartment in the previous days, stealing another wallet.
The young man was subsequently arrested for improper robbery and charged at large for the previous theft. The arrest was made by officers from the Office of General Prevention and Public Aid of the Naples Police Headquarters.
