Naples—Another arrest for drug dealing near Naples Central Station. On Thursday afternoon, officers from the Campania Railway Police Department – Naples Central Operations Unit stopped and arrested a 28-year-old Neapolitan man, already known to law enforcement for a prior drug-related conviction.
During a checkpoint in the railway area, the police officers noticed the young man who, upon seeing the patrol, attempted to quickly move away towards the tracks, attempting to evade the patrol. His behavior aroused the officers' suspicions, and they caught up with him after a brief chase.
Brawl and drug seizure
The man tried to resist, engaging in a fight with the operators, but was stopped and searched.

Arrest and investigations underway
The 28-year-old was arrested for possession of narcotics with intent to distribute and taken to the Railway Police offices for formal formalities. The hashish and marijuana were seized and made available to the judicial authorities.
The operation is part of the extraordinary control services arranged by the Polfer Department of Campania to combat drug trafficking and predatory crimes in railway areas, in particular in the Piazza Garibaldi area, which has long been under observation for episodes of petty crime and drug dealing.
