Naples - It was just after 9:00 PM when, in the eastern district of Naples, Carabinieri from the Poggioreale station ordered a 150cc Honda scooter to stop. A 17-year-old boy was riding the scooter without a license and no insurance.
A situation that unfortunately is not new on the streets of Naples, where there is no shortage of military checks to combat irregular driving and dangerous behavior.
The young man, a minor, was taken to the police station for routine checks. As is standard practice, the Carabinieri contacted the father, a 51-year-old worker, asking him to come and collect his son and issue him with the traffic fines.
But what should be a lesson in responsibility turns into a tense scene.

Upon arrival, the man not only doesn't scold his son, but he lashes out at the soldiers, accusing them of dealing with "nonsense" instead of addressing "real problems." His tone becomes increasingly aggressive, eventually degenerating into insults and threatening behavior: the 51-year-old even picks up a pen, waving it as if it were a weapon.
The Carabinieri intervened quickly to calm him down, while other patrols arrived on the scene and an ambulance was called as a precaution. Fortunately, no one was injured and no medical intervention was required.
The man, after being stopped, was reported for resisting a public official.
The scooter, which had no insurance coverage, was seized.
An episode that, once again, highlights the risks of irresponsible behavior—not only on the road, but also in the way we approach rules and authority.
