Naples, "If you don't come back, I'll send the intimate video to our son": Years of harassment and threats: 34-year-old arrested
The woman, a victim of stalking and psychological abuse, found the courage to report the incident after yet another threat of revenge porn. The Capodimonte Carabinieri arrested the man.
Naples – Behind a chilling phrase—"If you don't come back, I'll send our son an intimate video of us"—lies the epilogue to a story of stalking, abuse, and digital revenge.
A nightmare that lasted years for Lucia (not her real name), a Neapolitan woman who experienced first-hand the spiral of domestic violence, made up of control, blackmail, and obsession.
Her tormentor, a 34-year-old from Naples, was arrested by the Carabinieri of the Capodimonte Station for domestic abuse and stalking.
From marriage to nightmare
Lucia had married almost twenty years ago. With that man, she had built a family, two children, a home. Then, as in so many relationships, came a crisis, a separation, and a new relationship for him. But when that other relationship ended, Lucia had agreed to try again "for the sake of the children."
From that moment on, however, the man had changed face: jealous, obsessive, aggressive, incapable of accepting space or freedom.
Living together soon turned into a cage of control, made up of constant phone calls, screaming, threatening messages and an escalation of psychological harassment.
“I feel psychologically tortured,” the woman confided, words that today resonate as the starkest summary of her experience.
The stalking: 80 messages in a row and a shocking threat
After yet another episode of violence According to the report, Lucia had left home, taking her children with her. But the separation hadn't stopped the man: on the contrary, it had ignited a persecutory frenzy.
Eighty consecutive messages, dozens of calls, and voicemails filled with anger and threats. Even during his youngest son's birthday party, the man had gone berserk, humiliating her in front of relatives and children.
That same night, the notifications had started flashing again: 78 messages, one after the other.
Then the most disturbing threat: “If you don’t come back with me, I’ll send our son an intimate video of the two of us.”
A sentence that transforms jealousy into violence, anger into family revenge porn, an emotional and moral blackmail against a mother and her children.
The complaint and the arrest
It was that message that pushed Lucia to find the strength to say enough.
She went to the station Carabinieri from Capodimonte, recounting years of fear, silence, and humiliation. This lucid testimony, supported by evidence and messages stored on his phone, allowed the police to reconstruct a precise picture of mistreatment, threats, and stalking. The 34-year-old was thus arrested.
Gender-based violence and digital revenge: a growing phenomenon
Lucia's case is just one of many that emerge every day in Italian prosecutors' offices.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of the Interior, in 2025, over 18 incidents of stalking were recorded and more than 3.500 complaints of revenge porn were filed, a 20% increase compared to the previous year.
Often, as in this story, the protagonists are ex-partners unable to accept the end of a relationship, who use intimate images as a tool of power and revenge.
Experts speak of "new frontiers of gender-based violence," where digital control—social media, chat, video—replaces physical chains, but leaves equally deep wounds.
The courage to report
Lucia is now welcomed into a safety net. She has found the strength to tell her story not only for herself, but for the many women who, like her, live in the shadow of terror and emotional blackmail.
Her report helped stop a man, but above all, it reminded us that freedom is never a luxury: it is a right that must be defended, even when it costs courage, loneliness, and fear.
A message, a click, a threat.
In an age where intimacy can become a weapon, Lucia's story illustrates the urgent need to strengthen legal protections, resources for anti-violence centers, and a culture of digital respect.
Because domestic violence and revenge porn aren't "private incidents": they are forms of modern torture that demand justice and prevention, every day.
