Naples – He violently struck his thirteen-year-old daughter in the middle of the street, knocking her to the pavement, before the eyes of incredulous passersby. The incident occurred yesterday afternoon on Via Diocleziano, in the Fuorigrotta neighborhood.
The man, immediately stopped by plainclothes officers of the Local Police engaged in a service of judicial documents, was reported for abuse of means of correction or discipline.
The domestic violence scene unfolded in a matter of seconds. The man attacked the girl, knocking her to the ground. Officers, who were on the scene for other activities, intervened quickly, subduing the attacker and saving the child. Only later did it emerge that he was the young victim's father.
The thirteen-year-old, in shock but not in serious condition, was immediately entrusted to her family by order of the Juvenile Court , which also instructed social services to follow the case.
