Naples - The extraordinary checks ordered by the Naples Police Headquarters to combat drug trafficking in the city's most sensitive neighborhoods continue unabated.
Yesterday afternoon, State Police officers from the San Giovanni-Barra Police Station arrested a seventeen-year-old Neapolitan, with a criminal record, on charges of illegal possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.
While patrolling Piazza Bisignano, the police officers noticed the young man interacting with another person in a suspicious manner.

At the sight of the patrol, the boy tried in vain to run away, but was immediately stopped.
The personal search led to the discovery of seven transparent packages containing approximately twenty grams of hashish, as well as 75 euros in cash, divided into small denomination bills, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing.
The minor was subsequently arrested and handed over to the competent judicial authorities. The operation is part of the State Police's daily anti-drug activities conducted in the eastern neighborhoods of Naples.
