Naples – A gang of five people, aged between 56 and 73, ended up in prison on charges of criminal conspiracy aimed at committing property crimes.
According to investigators, the group is responsible for a series of robberies and burglaries carried out between March and June 2024, as well as an aggravated kidnapping.
The investigation, coordinated by the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office and conducted by the State Police, began with a robbery that occurred on March 16, around 10:45 PM, at a supermarket in the Materdei neighborhood. That evening, four armed men stormed the store while some employees were busy stocking shelves.
After threatening them with a gun, the robbers immobilized them with duct tape and forced them to cooperate, forcing them to carry the safe from the first floor to the ground floor.

The investigations also revealed a particularly sophisticated modus operandi: the suspects allegedly managed to enter some homes thanks to software capable of reproducing keys starting from simple photographs taken during preliminary inspections.
The Naples investigating judge, granting the prosecutor's requests, issued a precautionary detention order against them. The charges range from aggravated robbery to kidnapping, and even residential burglary. Investigators have not ruled out the possibility that the group may be responsible for other similar burglaries in the city and surrounding areas.
