Naples – An unprecedented wave of tourism is about to hit Naples, transforming the All Saints' Day holiday into a triumph of numbers and attendance.
"We've forecast 550 tourists, impressive numbers that more than triple last year's number and demonstrate Naples' status as a major international tourism capital."
The news was announced with full-throated enthusiasm by the Councilor for Tourism of the City of Naples, Teresa Armato, on the sidelines of the presentation of the fourth edition of the Naples Sacred Music Festival, held in the setting of the Chapel of the Treasure of San Gennaro.
But the horizon of big departures doesn't end on November 1st. Italians are already focusing on the upcoming Christmas holidays. According to a survey by flight search engine www.jetcost.it, 73% of our fellow citizens have already planned or intend to take a trip during the 2025 Christmas holidays. This figure dispels any fears of rising prices and economic hardship, painting the profile of a country with an unstoppable desire to travel.
The November window remains a crucial time to get organized: booking now allows you to secure rates up to 25% cheaper than last-minute deals.

The Jetcost.it study, conducted to capture holiday travel trends, reveals that only a small segment of undecided travelers (7%) will wait until the last minute, depending on their budget. Regarding the length of their vacation, nearly one in two Italians (47%) will opt for a mini-getaway lasting up to three days. This is followed by 24% who plan a stay of between three and five days, 15% who are aiming for a full week, and 11% who dream of a longer vacation, between eight and fifteen days.
The estimated average budget per person is around €794. When it comes to transportation, the private car remains the preferred choice, chosen by half of those interviewed (50%). The plane follows at a distance (28%), followed by the bus (10%), train (9%), and boat (3%).
The ideal vacation for Italians is clearly a family affair: almost half (45%) will go with relatives, preferring this option to a trip as a couple (28%), with friends (20%) or a solo escape (7%).
And where is this army of travelers headed? Domestic destinations beat international ones: 60% will stay in Italy, compared to 33% who will fly abroad and 7% who will combine both options. And at the top of the list of the most sought-after Italian cities is Naples, the undisputed queen of tourist desire. Rounding out the national top five are Milan, Rome, Catania, and Palermo. A clear signal: Italy, with its Campania capital at the top, remains the favorite holiday destination.
