Naples — The Naples Police Headquarters continues its extraordinary surveillance efforts to combat drug dealing in the historic center.
Yesterday evening, officers from the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station arrested a 31-year-old Senegalese man with an illegal immigration status on charges of possession of narcotics with intent to sell and resisting arrest.
The operation took place on Via Cesare Rosaroll, near Piazza San Francesco a Capuana, an area that has long been under surveillance due to the presence of drug dealers and small-time pushers.
The police officers, during a patrol, noticed the man suspiciously exchanging a small package for a banknote with another individual, who then quickly walked away through the alleys.

After a brief struggle, he was stopped and subjected to a personal search: three packages containing crack cocaine, one package of cocaine, and approximately 80 euros in cash, divided into small bills, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing, were found on him.
The material was seized, while the man was accompanied to the police station for the usual checks.
