He threatened – The escape of a young serial robber who, on the night of May 12th, had spread fear between Naples and Ercolano ended with a detention order.
The protagonist is a 25 year old Neapolitan, already known to the police for previous police records, considered to be seriously suspected of rapina and aggravated personal injury.
The arrest was made at the end of a detailed investigation conducted by the agents of the Vasto-Arenaccia Police Station, in collaboration with the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office and with the Carabinieri of the Ercolano Tenancy, under the coordination of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Naples.
Three shots in less than five hours
According to the investigators' reconstruction, the young man's night of madness began around 2 am.

Shortly thereafter, at 6:50 a.m., the second incident occurred: a truck driver stopped to refuel on Via Alessandro Volta was the victim. Using the same intimidating technique—still pretending to be armed—the 25-year-old allegedly punched the man in the face, stealing cash, a smartphone, and two gold rings.
Unsatisfied, about half an hour later, he allegedly struck again on Via Galileo Ferraris, not far from the center of Naples. This time, he allegedly attacked another person, hitting him in the leg with a scooter's ignition key and stealing cash. The victim, treated at the hospital, sustained injuries that are expected to heal within ten days.
The investigation and the turning point of the images
The alleged robber was caught thanks to a thorough investigation, based on the descriptions provided by the victims and the analysis of surveillance footage. Investigators then searched the 25-year-old's home and found a pair of shoes that matched those worn by the robber in the footage captured on the night of the robberies.
These elements, combined with the testimonies, convinced the investigating judge of the Court of Naples to issue the precautionary custody order, at the request of the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office.

Reading this article, I was struck by how people can become so violent. It's strange to think that a young person could do such terrible things. I hope justice takes its course and a lesson is learned.
