Moments of fear in the heart of Napoli. In Piazza GaribaldiAt the intersection of Via Alessandro Poerio, a couple of Irish tourists were attacked and robbed in broad daylight. The local police, alerted by a visibly distraught foreign citizen, responded immediately thanks to the San Lorenzo Task Force. At the scene, officers found a man who was quickly detaining the alleged perpetrator of the robbery, which had just occurred before the eyes of passersby.
According to the officers' reconstruction, the perpetrator—an 18-year-old Moroccan citizen, undocumented and of no fixed abode—had approached the two tourists as they were crossing the street.

The young man was arrested and taken to the local police station for routine checks, where he was identified and photographed. He will face charges of snatching, assault, and illegal residence in Italy. The judge, after validating the arrest, sentenced the 18-year-old to one year, nine months, and ten days in prison, with a suspended sentence.
