An unreal silence has enveloped Paupisi, a small town in the Benevento area, on the day of the last farewell to Elisa Polcino, 49 years old, and his son Cosimo, just 15, brutally killed by her husband and father, Salvatore Ocone, last September 30th. Hundreds crowded the church of Santa Maria del Bosco, where grief united an entire community shocked by a tragedy that shattered two lives and forever marked an entire country.
The bodies, which arrived from the morgue of the Benevento hospital, were welcomed by the mayor Salvatore Coletta, who for the occasion proclaimed the city mourning.

What happened to Paupisi is very sad, and the community must be deeply shocked. It's incomprehensible how a father could do such a terrible thing to his own children and wife. I hope justice is served.
