Vittorio Feltri experienced a terrifying moment when he was attacked in broad daylight by two unknown assailants on the streets of Milan. The editorial director of Il Giornale and founder of Libero recounted the incident during a television appearance on "Fuori dal Coro," the program hosted by Mario Giordano on Rete 4.
"It happened to me twenty or thirty days ago," Feltri explained. "I left my house, luckily I had an escort. I found myself facing two individuals who already had the looks of criminals: one of them tried to spray me in the face." The attack, the journalist emphasized, occurred in broad daylight, around 10:30 in the morning.
Despite the surprise and his age, Feltri didn't let himself be overwhelmed: "I don't have a good character," he said.

The incident ended without any physical injuries for the journalist, but the story has reignited the debate on urban safety in the Lombardy capital. "Something like this should never happen in broad daylight," Feltri added, denouncing the climate of insecurity that, in his opinion, has long been felt in the city.
The case is part of a long series of incidents of violence and petty crime that, for months, have fueled political and social controversy over Milan's degradation. "Does it seem normal to you that these things happen in broad daylight?" the journalist concluded bitterly.
