The five, aged between 30 and 61, possessed and distributed horrifying materials, some of which were incredibly cruel. A total of ten people are under investigation, but the ring could be much larger. When officers arrived, one of them was busy sharing the illegal files.
Turin – A hidden network that trafficked in horror, exchanging videos of sexual abuse of children, including very young ones, and particularly gruesome child pornography. It was dismantled by the Postal Police in an operation that led to five arrests in Piedmont and the identification of five other individuals who were placed under investigation.
The investigation, coordinated by the Turin Prosecutor's Office, began at the Turin Cyber Security Operations Center (COSC), whose agents also conducted undercover operations to infiltrate the gang's digital channels. The searches, ordered by the chief prosecutor and carried out with the support of the Milan COSC and the Asti, Biella, Cuneo, Imperia, Novara, Savona, and Vercelli Sections, led to the arrest of four people in Turin and one in Novara.
The arrested men, aged between 30 and 61, had at their disposal and actively shared a vast arsenal of child exploitation.

The brutality of the crimes became evident during the arrests: in one case, when police arrived at the home, the suspect was caught red-handed sharing videos of the abuse online. In addition to his detention, he was also charged with unlawful disclosure.
The investigation doesn't stop there. Investigators have identified 22 cases requiring further investigation for downloading and sharing child pornography images and videos. A significant amount of computing devices—computers, hard drives, smartphones—were seized from all the suspects. These devices will now be subjected to forensic analysis to reconstruct the entire criminal chain, identify the victims, and uncover any accomplices.
The exchange system, though fragmented into small groups, suggests a potentially much larger criminal network than has been identified so far. The operation demonstrates, once again, how combating online pedophilia requires constant, in-depth work, capable of following digital traces deep into the depths of the web.
